Art Club Trip- Kansas City-
March 5-7, 2010
Friday- March 5th- Leave in morning. Stop in Lawrence for art museums, lunch, shopping, and campus visit. Stop in Bonner Springs to tour an industrial design firm and moon marble (for a glass blowing demo). Go to down town Kansas City for Thai or Mexican dinner and First Friday Gallery Walk (a tour of art galleries). Stay at a hotel in KC.
Saturday- March 6th- visit Kemper and Nelson art museums (may do an art class if we want). Shop on the Plaza. Go to a movie, play, or comedy performance. Will eat lunch at an art museum and dinner in Westport (an area with dozens of places to eat, we’ll pick 2 and split up).
Sunday- March 7th- Visit the Nerman art museum on Johnson County’s campus. Pick one other attraction. Stop at Legends Shopping Center on the way home. We will also eat a meal there.
The trip will cost $200. This covers van rental, gas, hotel for two nights, museum fees, and ticket to show. It does not include meals!
Payment:
Student must sign up (in the art lab) and pay:
$75.00 by Dec. 1st
$75.00 by Jan 15th
$50.00 by March 1st
