I've started "youtube Tuesdays" in my classes. I got the idea from a workshop at this years Art Education conference. We watch a short clip at the beginning of
class once a week. Youtube might seem like a stretch for a classroom
tool, but it truly is an amazing resource for art related topics.

here. The first shows an
artist's hand made creatures, they walk along the beach, surviving
mostly on their own. The second shows an improv "prank" where
hundreds of people freeze for five minutes in the middle of Grand
Central Station. Students make sure I know it's Tuesday now!
