Art Explorations- Jewelry

Art Explorations is a class where we get to do all different kinds of work. We started out the year with something playful and fun... shrinky dinks! Visiting Artist

Justin Marable came to 2-D Art Class last week. He helped me to introduce a screen printing project to a full class. After I did a presentation and demo, Justin came in and showed a bit of his talents. He talked about his work, showed examples, and then made a print from start to finish for the class to see. Visit the blog again next month to see what my students came up with!

abstract paintings

Art Exploration students did these paintings over 4 class periods, building up the paint and texture each day. They were not allowed to use paint brushes. Pretty great, Huh?

3-D Art- Fused Glass Necklace

3-D Art stretched out our one metalsmithing project ALL semester. We finally wrapped these up on the last days of the semester. Come by and see them in person at the RVHS Library! To make them the students created their own Fused Glass stone, learned to saw, file, sand, solder, make a bezel, and polish. Whew. Don't they look great?
